When Marine Iguanas return from their feeding forays in the cool wavewash, their first priority is to re-warm their chilled bodies by sprawling over the sun-baked lava slab of Fernandina Is. Their stomaches are spread flat and their backs turned to the solar radiation as they soak in heat.
