Spiral Ginger named for its spiraling arrangement of the leaves around the canes. There are at least 90 species of Costus. Not sure which variety this is, which has red bracts (inflorescences) with small yellow flowers that peek out from bottom up, whereas most other Costus flowers open from top down.
