Named after Brevet Major General Seth Williams, Fort Williams is home to the oldest lighthouse in Maine, Portland Head Light. Now it is owned and managed by the Town of Cape Elizabeth. Rosa Rugosa is Maine-hardy. Its old-fashioned fragrance perfumes the seashore of Cape Elizabeth. The Rose Hips of these plants are said to be one of nature's richest sources of Vitamin C, higher even than oranges.
