Garden at Henry Clay Estate. Henry Clay was a hands-on gardener and influenced by the English country garden upon his return from Europe in 1815. The original garden eventually was neglected and became almost extinct as the house changed hands through the years. This redesigned new garden c. 1951 had a formal garden appeal of the 18th century rather than reproducing the less formal style of Henry Clay's era.
