A National Historic Landmark in LaSalle, IL, in Second Empire, a high Victorian style. This is the east side of the house. Designed by Chicago architect William W. Boyington in 1876, for Edward C. Hegeler, a partner in a nearby zinc company. Later occupied by his son-in-law Dr. Paul Carus and children.
